Musical Instrument Museum
The Musical Instrument Museum, known as MIM, opened in 2010 in north Phoenix, near the Scottsdale city line, founded by the retail executive Robert J. Ulrich. Its galleries show thousands of instruments from about 200 countries and territories, with headsets that play film and sound of each instrument being played; in the Experience Gallery visitors can try instruments themselves.
