National Aviary

The National Aviary is an indoor bird zoo in West Park on Pittsburgh's North Side, opened in 1952 as the city's aviary-conservatory and given its national title by Congress in 1993. Visitors walk through planted habitats among several hundred birds of about 150 species, from penguins to a harpy eagle.
