Wenceslas Square
Wenceslas Square is a boulevard-like square about 750 metres long in Prague's New Town, laid out as a horse market under Charles IV in 1348. The National Museum closes its upper end, in front of Josef Václav Myslbek's equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas. Large demonstrations were held here during the Velvet Revolution of 1989.
