Tempio Malatestiano

The Tempio Malatestiano is Rimini's cathedral, a Gothic Franciscan church remodelled from 1447 for Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, lord of Rimini. Leon Battista Alberti designed its marble exterior, left unfinished around 1460; inside are chapels carved by Agostino di Duccio, a crucifix by Giotto and a fresco by Piero della Francesca.
