Laufen Castle

Laufen Castle stands on a rock above the Rhine Falls in Laufen-Uhwiesen, canton of Zurich, on the bank opposite Neuhausen and about 4 km from Schaffhausen. First recorded in 858 and rebuilt several times, it houses the Historama exhibition, and the Belvedere path and a glass lift lead down to viewing platforms beside the falls.
