About Seattle
Seattle lies between Puget Sound and Lake Washington, with the Space Needle at Seattle Center and Pike Place Market above the waterfront. Seattle Center holds the Space Needle, the Museum of Pop Culture, Chihuly Garden and Glass and the Pacific Science Center, linked to downtown by the 1962 monorail. Pike Place Market overlooks the waterfront, where the Seattle Aquarium and the Great Wheel stand on the piers, and the Seattle Art Museum is a block away. Smith Tower rises over Pioneer Square. Further out are the Ballard Locks, the National Nordic Museum, Woodland Park Zoo and the Museum of Flight. Three days cover the main sights.
