Palazzo Pubblico

The Palazzo Pubblico is Siena's Gothic town hall on Piazza del Campo, begun in 1297 as the seat of the Republic of Siena's government and still the seat of the city council. Its historic rooms form the Museo Civico, where visitors see Ambrogio Lorenzetti's frescoes of Good and Bad Government and Simone Martini's Maestà.
