National Museum of Singapore

The National Museum of Singapore grew out of the Raffles Library and Museum, founded in 1849, and has been housed since 1887 in a domed colonial building on Stamford Road. Its galleries trace Singapore's history from the 14th century to the present, with a modern glass extension added at the back of the old building.
