Fort Canning Park

Fort Canning Park covers a 48-metre hill above the city centre, where archaeological finds date back to the 14th century and where Stamford Raffles later built his residence and the British a fort. Paths lead past the surviving Fort Gate, the white 1926 barracks now called Fort Canning Centre, a spice garden and the Battle Box, a wartime command bunker.
