Sultan Mosque

Sultan Mosque, or Masjid Sultan, is the principal mosque of Kampong Glam, first built in 1826 and rebuilt between 1925 and 1932 to a design by Irish architect Denis Santry of Swan & Maclaren. Two gold-coloured onion domes crown the main prayer hall, their bases set with glass bottle ends, and the mosque has been a national monument since 1975.
