The Belgrade Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Theotokos, is a Baroque church built between 1756 and 1763 for Szentendre's Serbian community, with a 48-metre bell tower added in 1777. It remains the cathedral of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Buda, standing beside the former bishop's palace.
