Museum of Byzantine Culture

The Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki opened in 1994 in a brick building designed by Kyriakos Krokos. Its permanent exhibitions trace life in Byzantium and after its fall, from early Christian times to the 19th century, with icons, mosaics, wall paintings, sculpture, coins and everyday objects, many found in Thessaloniki.
