Trapani Cathedral

Trapani Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Lawrence, stands on Corso Vittorio Emanuele in the old town of Trapani. Founded in the Middle Ages as the church of the city's Genoese community, it became a cathedral in 1844. Its Baroque façade, begun in 1736, and the dome are the work of the architect Giovanni Biagio Amico.
