Gunung Kawi

Gunung Kawi is an 11th-century temple and funerary complex at Tampaksiring, north-east of Ubud, on both banks of the Pakerisan River. Ten candi shrines are cut in relief into sheltered niches about 7 m high in the cliff face; they are thought to commemorate King Anak Wungsu of the Udayana dynasty and members of his family.
