St Mark's Campanile

St Mark's Campanile is the 98.6-metre bell tower of St Mark's Basilica, standing on its own in Piazza San Marco. The present tower is a reconstruction completed in 1912 after the original collapsed in 1902; a lift goes up to the belfry, which looks out over the city and the lagoon.
