Schönbrunn Zoo

Schönbrunn Zoo was founded in 1752 in the grounds of Schönbrunn Palace and has been in continuous operation since; it covers 17 hectares and is part of the palace's World Heritage site. Its enclosures radiate from the octagonal Imperial Pavilion of 1759, and it keeps around 700 species, including giant pandas and elephants.
