Royal Palace of Visegrád

The Royal Palace of Visegrád was built from 1323 as a royal seat and expanded into a palace under King Matthias Corvinus in the late 15th century, with Renaissance courtyards and fountains. Abandoned after the Ottoman conquest of 1544 and buried by landslides, it was excavated from 1934 and is now the King Matthias Museum.
