York's Chocolate Story
York's Chocolate Story is a chocolate museum in King's Square, close to the Shambles, opened in March 2012. Guided tours tell the history of chocolate from its origins in Mexico and of York's factories, among them Rowntree's and Terry's, and their workers, and visitors watch chocolate being made and make some of their own.
