Akureyrarkirkja

Akureyrarkirkja is the Lutheran church of Akureyri, standing on a hill above the town centre. Designed by Guðjón Samúelsson and completed in 1940, it has two stepped towers, a 3,200-pipe organ, reliefs by Ásmundur Sveinsson on the nave balcony and an altarpiece from 1863 by Edvard Lehmann.
