Akureyri Art Museum

The Akureyri Art Museum (Listasafnið á Akureyri) was founded in 1993 and occupies a former dairy building in the town centre, a functionalist design influenced by the Bauhaus. It shows changing exhibitions of Icelandic and international contemporary art alongside works from its own collection, and runs residencies for visiting artists.
