Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral
Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral is the historic seat of the Coptic pope and is said to stand where Mark the Evangelist founded a church in the 1st century. The present church was rebuilt in reinforced concrete in 1950–1952, keeping its two bell towers, and enlarged in the 1980s; it keeps relics attributed to Saint Mark.
