Jane Austen Centre

The Jane Austen Centre at 40 Gay Street in Bath is a permanent exhibition about the novelist's time in the city, where she lived from 1801 to 1806 and set parts of Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. Guides in Regency costume introduce the visit, and the Georgian house also has a tea room and a wax figure of Austen unveiled in 2014.
