Pulteney Bridge

Pulteney Bridge crosses the River Avon in Bath. It was completed by 1774 to a Palladian design by Robert Adam, to link the city with the Bathwick estate that the Pulteney family planned to develop. It is one of four bridges in the world with shops across its full span on both sides, and the weir built in 1968–1972 lies just below it.
