Goethe House

The Goethe House is the Frankfurt birthplace and childhood home of writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, born here in 1749. Destroyed in an Allied air raid in the Second World War, it was rebuilt afterward and furnished with period pieces from Goethe's time. It stands beside the Deutsches Romantik-Museum, visited on a joint ticket.
