Saint Titus Cathedral

Saint Titus Cathedral is a Greek Orthodox church in Heraklion dedicated to the Apostle Titus, the first bishop of Crete. The present building, designed by Athanasios Moussis, was put up in 1869 as an Ottoman mosque on the site of the city's older cathedral of Titus. It became a church in 1925 and has been a cathedral since 2013; its square front faces a palm-lined square.
