Natural History Museum of Crete

The Natural History Museum of Crete is run by the University of Crete and studies the plants, animals and geology of Crete and the eastern Mediterranean. Its exhibition halls fill the former Heraklion power station of 1920 on the seafront avenue. Displays combine specimens with interactive exhibits, including an earthquake simulator, alongside changing exhibitions.
