Kim Tek Ie Temple

Kim Tek Ie, also called Vihara Dharma Bhakti, is a Chinese temple in the Glodok Chinatown of West Jakarta and the oldest in the city. It was founded in 1650 as Kwan Im Teng, a shrine to the goddess Guanyin, burned in 1740 and rebuilt in 1755. Its red halls with curved roof ridges remain a working place of worship filled with incense and candles.
