Lausanne Cathedral

Lausanne Cathedral is a Gothic church begun around 1170 on the hill of the Cité and consecrated by Pope Gregory X in 1275. A Reformed church since 1536, it has a painted portal and a thirteenth-century rose window, and visitors can climb the belfry tower for a view over the city and the lake.
