Tour de Sauvabelin

The Tour de Sauvabelin is a 35-metre wooden observation tower in the Sauvabelin woods above Lausanne, opened in 2003. Built from Douglas fir and spruce from the city's own forests to a design by Julius Natterer, it has 302 steps in a double spiral, and its top platform looks out over the treetops to Lake Geneva and the Alps.
