About Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City, the state capital, combines the National Memorial downtown with museums of the West and of the tribal nations. The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum stands on the site of the federal building bombed in 1995, a short walk from the Myriad Botanical Gardens, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the American Banjo Museum in Bricktown. The First Americans Museum lies by the Oklahoma River. North-east of downtown, the State Capitol and the Oklahoma History Center face each other, and the Adventure District holds the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, the zoo and Science Museum Oklahoma. Two days cover the main sights.
