Betsy Ross House

The Betsy Ross House on Arch Street is a brick house of about 1740 where Betsy Ross, the upholsterer whom family tradition credits with sewing the first American flag, is said to have lived and worked. Restored in the 1930s, its small rooms are furnished in 18th-century style, and Ross and her third husband are buried in the courtyard.
