Tartini Square

Tartini Square is the main square of Piran, laid out in 1894 when the town's inner harbour for small boats was filled in. It is named after the violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini, whose bronze monument by Antonio Dal Zotto has stood here since 1896. The town hall and the Gothic Venetian House stand on the square.
