Korundi House of Culture occupies a red-brick post bus depot from 1933 in Rovaniemi, one of the few buildings in the town that survived the Second World War. Converted between 2009 and 2011, it houses the Rovaniemi Art Museum, with exhibitions of northern art, and a concert hall that is the home of the Lapland Chamber Orchestra.

Arktikum is a museum and science centre on the bank of the Ounasjoki river in Rovaniemi, opened on 6 December 1992 to designs by the Danish architects Birch-Bonderup & Thorup-Waade. A 172-metre glass corridor points north, with the exhibition halls set below ground; they house the Regional Museum of Lapland and the Arctic Centre's displays.

Jätkänkynttilä Bridge is a cable-stayed road bridge over the Kemijoki river in Rovaniemi, opened on 28 September 1989 as the first of its kind for road traffic in Finland. It is 320 metres long, with footpaths and cycle paths on both sides, and its pylon of two concrete pillars ends in slanted tops lit at night, like the log torch it is named after.

Lappia Hall is a theatre and congress building in central Rovaniemi designed by Alvar Aalto, built in phases from 1961 and finished in 1975, the last of his buildings he saw completed. Its wave-shaped roofline echoes the fells of Lapland. It is home to Rovaniemi Theatre and forms part of Aalto's civic centre with the library and town hall.

Rovaniemi Church is the Lutheran parish church in the centre of Rovaniemi, designed by Bertel Liljequist and completed in 1950; the earlier church of 1817 was burnt down in the Lapland War in 1944. Inside, Lennart Segerstråle's 14-metre altar fresco The Source of Life (1951) shows Christ between the two thieves against a Lapland landscape.

tourist attraction · Rovaniemi Santa Claus Village is a cluster of shops, restaurants, offices and holiday cabins on the Arctic Circle, about 8 km north-east of Rovaniemi city centre and 2 km from the airport. A painted line marks the Arctic Circle across the square; around it stand Santa Claus' Office, where visitors meet Santa, and Santa Claus' Main Post Office.
