Šibenik Cathedral

Šibenik Cathedral, dedicated to St. James, is the seat of the Diocese of Šibenik and was built entirely of stone between 1431 and 1536 to designs by Juraj Dalmatinac and Nikola Firentinac. Its vaults and dome are made of interlocking stone slabs, and a frieze of carved human heads runs around the apses. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
