Peleș Castle

Peleș Castle is the former summer residence of King Carol I, built in the Carpathian foothills above Sinaia between 1873 and 1914 in a Neo-Renaissance style with German half-timbering, and supplied with electricity from its own power plant. Its ground and first floors show carved wood, stained glass, arms and armour and the royal collections.
