Sinaia Monastery

Sinaia Monastery is an Orthodox monastery founded in 1695 by Mihail Cantacuzino and named after St Catherine's Monastery on Mount Sinai; the town of Sinaia later took its name from it. Each of its two courtyards holds a church: the Old Church of 1695 and the Great Church, completed in 1846. It is a working monastery with daily services.
