Fire Tower

The Fire Tower is the 58-metre former north gate tower of the town walls on Fő tér in Sopron. Its square base dates from the late 13th century, the round middle section from the early 14th century, and the Baroque gallery and helmet from after the fire of 1676. Visitors climb to the gallery for a view over the old town.
