Oratory of St John the Baptist

The Oratory of St John the Baptist is a confraternity chapel on Via Barocci in Urbino, built between 1365 and 1393 below the Albornoz fortress. Its walls carry frescoes completed in 1416 by the brothers Lorenzo and Jacopo Salimbeni in the International Gothic style, with a Crucifixion and scenes from the Baptist's life. The facade was redone in neo-Gothic style around 1900.
