Ducal Palace

The Ducal Palace of Urbino was built for Federico da Montefeltro from the mid-15th century, with the Dalmatian architect Luciano Laurana among its builders; its west front with two slender towers faces the valley. The palace houses the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, with works by Piero della Francesca, Raphael and Titian, and the duke's inlaid studiolo.
