Yokohama Chinatown

Yokohama Chinatown grew from the settlement of Chinese merchants who arrived after the port opened in 1859. Around 250 Chinese restaurants and shops line its streets, which are entered through ornate gates such as the Zenrinmon, and the Kantei-byō and Mazu Miao temples stand in the district.
