About Yokohama
Yokohama is Japan's second-largest city, a port south of Tokyo that opened to foreign trade in the nineteenth century. Along the waterfront, Minato Mirai has the Landmark Tower's Sky Garden deck, the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel, the Cup Noodles Museum and the Red Brick Warehouses. Yamashita Park runs beside the harbour, where the ocean liner Hikawa Maru is moored as a museum, and the Marine Tower stands opposite. Chinatown's gates and restaurants are a short walk inland. A day or two covers the city; trains from Tokyo take about half an hour.
