St Martin's Cathedral

St Martin's Cathedral is a Gothic church in Ypres, begun in 1230 and completed in 1370, and the seat of the diocese of Ypres from 1561 to 1801. Left in ruins in the First World War, it was rebuilt to the original plans between 1922 and 1930 with a taller spire; its tower is 102 metres high, and the church holds the tomb of Bishop Cornelius Jansen.
