Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar

The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar is a Baroque church on the Ebro in Zaragoza, begun in 1681 where tradition places an apparition of the Virgin Mary to Saint James. Ventura Rodríguez gave it its present form, with eleven tiled domes and four towers. Inside are the Holy Chapel with the venerated image and dome frescoes by Goya.
