Central Pier

Central Pier is the middle of Blackpool's three piers, opened in 1868 about 500 metres south of Blackpool Tower to designs by John Isaac Mawson. It has always been the pier for dancing and amusements; a 33-metre Ferris wheel added in 1990 stands halfway along, beside fairground rides and an arcade.
