The Economy Museum – Royal Coin Cabinet is Sweden's national museum of money and economic history, since 2019 in the Swedish History Museum's building on Narvavägen. Its collection of some 650,000 objects includes Viking Age silver hoards, Sweden's first coins and early banknotes, shown alongside interactive stations on how money works.

The Swedish History Museum on Narvavägen covers Swedish archaeology and cultural history from the Stone Age to the present. Founded in 1866, it moved into its present building by Bengt Romare and George Scherman, built in the 1930s; exhibitions include the Viking Age and a Gold Room with prehistoric and medieval gold.

The Vasa Museum on Djurgården houses the warship Vasa, which sank in Stockholm harbour on her maiden voyage in 1628 and was raised in 1961. The museum opened in 1990; the almost complete 17th-century ship stands in a hall several storeys high, surrounded by exhibitions on her construction, crew and salvage.

SkyView is a pair of spherical glass gondolas that ride on rails up the outside of Avicii Arena, the domed arena in Johanneshov long known as Globen. Opened in 2010 and designed by Berg Arkitektkontor, the architects of the arena itself, it carries up to 12 people per gondola to the top of the dome, 85 metres up, for a view across Stockholm.

The Nordic Museum on Djurgården covers Swedish cultural history and everyday life from the 16th century to the present. It was founded by Artur Hazelius, who also created Skansen, and its building by Isak Gustaf Clason was completed in 1907. A 126-metre hall with a large seated statue of Gustav Vasa leads to exhibitions on homes, clothing, festivals and the Sami.

Spritmuseum is a museum of Swedish drinking culture that opened in 1967 on Dalagatan as the Wine and Spirits Historical Museum and moved in 2012 to the former naval galley sheds on Djurgårdsstrand. Its permanent exhibition covers Sweden's history of spirits, drinking songs and habits, and a gallery shows works from the Absolut Art Collection, alongside a restaurant.

The Viking Museum, called Vikingaliv until its renaming, opened in 2017 in a former boat hall on Djurgårdsstrand on Djurgården in Stockholm. It shows daily life in the Viking Age through archaeological finds, reconstructed settings and a model of a Sigtuna farmer, and includes Ragnfrid's Saga, an eleven-minute ride through a Viking story.

amusement park · Stockholm Gröna Lund is an amusement park on the waterfront of Djurgården, founded in 1883 by Jacob Schultheis and the oldest in Sweden. On 3.8 hectares it fits more than 30 rides, among them several roller coasters, drop towers, a funhouse and a tunnel of love, and its stages host concerts during the summer season.

ABBA The Museum on Djurgården opened in 2013 as a permanent exhibition about the Swedish pop group ABBA. It shows stage costumes, gold records and instruments donated by the band members, and visitors can sing, dance and record their voices at interactive stations along the way.

Skansen on Djurgården was opened in 1891 by Artur Hazelius as an open-air museum of rural Swedish life before industrialisation. Farmsteads, a church and town houses moved here from across Sweden stand along wooded paths, with staff in period dress, craft workshops and a zoo of Nordic animals such as elk, bears and wolves.

Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde on Djurgården was the home of Prince Eugen (1865–1947), painter and art collector, and opened as a museum in 1948 after he left it to the state. Ferdinand Boberg designed the mansion, finished in 1905, and the gallery added in 1913; they hold about 7,000 works, mostly Swedish art, and the park by the water has sculptures and an 18th-century oil mill.

Tekniska museet is Sweden's national museum of science and technology, founded in 1924 and housed since 1936 in a functionalist building by Ragnar Hjorth on Norra Djurgården. Its collections trace Swedish technical and industrial history, and hands-on exhibitions such as Megamind sit beside the Wisdome dome theatre.

Millesgården is the former home and studio of the sculptor Carl Milles and the artist Olga Milles on Lidingö, given to the Swedish people as a foundation in 1936. Terraces above the water hold casts of Milles's sculptures, the house shows the couple's rooms and collections, and an art hall designed by Johan Celsing in 1999 holds exhibitions.
