Eger Minaret
The Eger Minaret is a 40-metre Ottoman-era tower built of red sandstone in the early 17th century as part of a mosque that no longer survives. A narrow spiral staircase of 97 steps leads to a balcony near the top, which gives views over the old town; it is one of only three Ottoman minarets left standing in Hungary.
