Schlossberg

The Schlossberg is a forested hill directly east of Freiburg's old town, rising to 456 metres on the edge of the Black Forest. Fortifications have stood here since the 11th century; today paths and vineyard terraces lead past their remains to a 2002 viewing tower with views over the city.
