tourist attraction · Lauterbrunnen Staubbach Falls is a waterfall just west of Lauterbrunnen village that drops about 297 m from a hanging valley over overhanging cliffs. Unspunnen Castle is the ruin of a medieval castle on a wooded rise near Wilderswil, just south of Interlaken. Probably built in the early 12th century, it passed to the lords of Eschenbach and later to Bern, which let it fall into decay; a round keep and stretches of wall remain, and the first Unspunnen festival was held in the meadows below it in 1805.
