HR Giger Museum

The HR Giger Museum occupies the medieval Château Saint-Germain just below Gruyères Castle and opened in 1998. It shows paintings, sculptures and furniture by the Swiss artist HR Giger (1940–2014), including his creature designs for the film Alien, and next to it the museum's bar, completed in 2003, is fitted out entirely in his biomechanical style.
