The Palazzo dei Consoli is a Gothic civic palace on Piazza Grande in Gubbio, built between 1332 and 1349 to a design by Angelo da Orvieto on a terrace above the lower town. It houses the civic museum, which shows the Iguvine Tablets, bronze tablets inscribed in the ancient Umbrian language, with collections of ceramics, paintings and archaeology.

The Church of San Francesco is a Gothic church in the lower town of Gubbio, built by 1256 where, by tradition, the Spadalunga family sheltered and clothed Saint Francis. It has an octagonal 14th-century bell tower, and inside a cycle of frescoes of the life of the Virgin painted by Ottaviano Nelli around 1410–1415.

The Roman Theatre of Gubbio is a 1st-century theatre of ancient Iguvium, built of squared limestone blocks just below the medieval town. The lower ring of arches still stands around a cavea that seated about 6,000 people, and some arches of the upper gallery survive. A nearby antiquarium shows a Roman house with a mosaic of Scylla.

The Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo stands on Monte Ingino above Gubbio and keeps the body of Saint Ubaldo, the town's 12th-century bishop and patron, in a glass case above the high altar. Built with its convent in the early 16th century, it is the finish of the Corsa dei Ceri race every 15 May and is reached on foot or by the cable car from the town.
